Serina Lopez is an ambitious accounting major and future financial services professional in her senior year at Florida International University. Known for her leadership skills and commitment to helping others, she is focused on making a difference in the accounting world.

As the former Director of the Accounting Association and current Junior Treasurer of ALPFA, Serina is passionate about creating opportunities for her peers. In her first semester at FIU, she secured multiple internships through ALPFA, showcasing her ability to leverage resources and networks effectively. She now supports the association's financial operations and continues to help facilitate networking and career-building events for students. During her tenure, she also helped numerous students secure internships at Big 4 firms, strengthening their career paths. She recently completed the Launch Internship Program at Ernst & Young, where she gained experience in tax and audit and worked with investment and management companies.

Serina is eager to continue advancing in the accounting field and is excited to connect with fellow ALPFA members and industry leaders. She looks forward to returning to Ernst & Young in summer 2025 as a full-time service audit intern in the financial services sector.
